We are really excited to launch our Advanced Supporting Staff Wellbeing in Schools course in 4 regions from September 2019.
This course has been designed to complement our very popular Supporting Staff Wellbing in Schools Workshop which has now been running for 8 years across the UK. Having worked with over 500 Schools we have recently been inundated with requests for a course that enables delegates to put into practice the skills and knowledge learned.
We are now launching the Advanced course in our most popular regions starting in Belfast on 26th September 2019. This course was fully subscribed within 2 weeks of its launch and we can,t wait to facilitate this workshop with past delegates.
Advanced Supporting Staff Well being in Schools Course Overview
This course looks at developing delegates communication / management skills using the previosly attended course as a starting platform. In small groups delegates will work on specific scenarios during the day which will greatly improve their ability to use the risk assessment process effectively and open their eye's to techniques that will encourage staff to take the lead on the strategies / action plans that are developed for them. We also focus on some of the major risks to our personal well being and I will help delegates understand how they can use a variety of strategies to overcome common obstacles faced by schools and individuals.
The course also addresses many aspects of Ofsted's Employee Well being inspection framework.
Whilst this course requires a little more involvement from delegates, I have stuck to my training philosophy and will not use any role play techniques. The work that delegates do in their groups will be assessed with feedback / guidance given during the day.
Key area's that we will work on are as follows:
Real life scenarios that schools face (working in Small groups to resolve situations effectively)
Stress Risk Assessment workshop
Producing individual action plans for staff to improve resilience
Looking at the most common mental health conditions and improving your understanding
Social media - risks and using platforms to promote positive well being to staff
Developing the Staff Well being Policy further
Developing training techniques to continue delivery of staff well being training to staff
We have also just launched Advanced courses in the following locations:
30th October 2019 - Sheffield
31st October 2019 - Stafford
12th November 2019 - Warrington
